Presidents Message April 2016

The 2016 track season is finally upon us! And to start it off, our Region will be hosting it’s first PCA Club Race at Gateway Motorsports Park on April 22-24.

Our track events team has put in countless hours to organize this event for its members. The Club Race will attract PCA racers from all across the mid-section of the country. Details of this event are in this month’s Plauderei. You can find out more about PCA’s Club Racing program at pca.org/club-racing. And spectators are most welcome!
If you have never taken your Porsche to the track, your should consider attending our High Performance Driver Education event on May 21-23 also at Gateway Motorsports Park. I mention this now because this event fills up very quickly, so you’ll want to register early. You will learn important skill sets that translate to everyday street driving, and you’ll gain a huge appreciation for the capabilities of your Porsche. Still not sure? You’re welcome to come out to the track and get a feel for what’s involved. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and meet our excellent driving instructors. Registration is NOW open at Clubregistration.net. Or go to the Drivers Education tab at our Regional website, stlpca.org for details.
Two of our sponsors will be hosting open houses this month to showcase their new locations. You can check out Clear Auto Bra’s new facilities in Maryland Heights on Saturday, April 2nd. The following week, Lift SuperStore will host an open house at their new facility near Pacific. Then on April 17th, members in Columbia will host the first driving tour of the season to Fayette for lunch at Emmet’s Kitchen and Tap. Details of each of these events is in this issue of Die Plauderei.
See you this Spring at Gateway!
