Our spring driving season continues into June, and we have a full roster of activities scheduled for our Region. If you enjoy driving your Porsche on the track, Porsche St. Louis is
sponsoring our Spring HPDE on June 2-4. If you’ve never participated in a high performance driving event, come out to Gateway Motorsports Park and meet with the drivers and instructors to help you decide if you would be interested in participating. But be forewarned, performance driving can be very addicting once you start.
If you won’t be at the track on June 4, don’t miss the annual European Auto Show at the Taubman Prestige Outlet in the Chesterfield Valley. You can register your Porsche or other European car at http://stleuropeanautoshow.com/ to display at the show. This event draws a huge number of exotics and is a great way to visit with other car enthusiasts. Let’s try to get a great showing of Porsches from our Club members. We will have a tent set up to help promote the Club, so be sure and stop by.
Columbia members will be driving to the Tin Mill Brewery in Hermann for lunch on June 17th. St. Louis are members are more than welcome to meet us in Hermann. The popular tour to Fast Eddie’s Bon Aire in Alton is on June 25th. And on June 24th, the experts at ProTech Collision Center invite everyone to stop by their new shop in Ellisville for a Grand Opening BBQ lunch. They would like to see a number of great looking cars parked around the shop for the mid-day event.
These events require the efforts of those who organize them, and we’re very fortunate to have a region with strong leadership. When you participate in these or any of our events, please be sure to thank the organizers for their efforts. They are all volunteers, and these events take considerable time in advance to organize. Their rewards are your assurance that you enjoyed your time with other Porsche Club members.
As always, please contact me at maddya@missouri.edu if you have any questions of comments about the St. Louis Region PCA.
