As my term as President of the St. Louis Region nears an end, I thought I’d take a look back.

Over the last two years, the region has gained many new members, to grow to over 1000, and lost a few long-time friends. We have seen the retirement of a very successful DE committee, and the training of a new group to run future DEs. We joined with PCA members from around the world to show off our area at the Parade at the Lake of the Ozarks in 2018. We celebrated the region’s 60th anniversary with Hurley Haywood and Sean Cridland. Our program of road tours grew stronger with more destinations and new volunteers to lead tours. Social events have continued to be some of the best attended regional events held at even more fun and interesting locations. We have continued to refine and widen our digital presence and are working on a total revamping of our region sponsorship program to include all platforms used by the region. We have implemented, and continue to refine, single point registration for all events. More associate members and spouses are taking an active role in the club. Your board of directors is more diverse than ever and, if the recommendations of the Nominating Committee are accepted by the membership, our next president will be only the second female president in our region’s history.
None of this could have happened without you, the membership, volunteers, committee members, committee chairs, board members and officers of the St. Louis Region PCA, and for that, I thank you all.
Remember, ‘It’s not just the cars, It’s the People!’
