Dear St. Louis Region PCA Members,
Because I procrastinated and now there’s “some virus thing” going around, I won’t get to test drive the Taycan for a bit. Oh well, such is life. The car will still be there later this year. On a more serious note, I would like to address the current situation affecting us all, which is “that virus thing.”
PCA National and your local PCA leadership team are continuing to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are adjusting to the current circumstances in this unprecedented time. As always, first and foremost is the health and safety of ourmembers, volunteers, and sponsors.
Regarding our upcoming local events:
- All events that were scheduled out to April 23rd have been either cancelled or postponed.
- As we receive more guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and our local government, the Board will make decisions regarding events beyond that date.
- We may need to cancel more events, some with short notice, and will communicate these changes via the PCA “enews” distribution, motorsportreg, and via social media outlets.
Some general steps to protect yourself and others:
• Stay home and only go out to fulfill “essential” work, household or health-care dutie• Stay home if you are sick
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
• If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with
at least 60% alcohol
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue into the trash and
wash your hands
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular
household cleaning spray or wipe

On the positive side, look at this as an opportunity to do some things you normally don’t have time to do. Catch up on some reading, stream some movies, organize that closet or garage, or work on cleaning your car, so that it’ll be ready for the next driving tour or car show!
Be safe everyone!
Nancy
