Bio Dan Hinkebein

I’ve been a Porsche fan my entire life.  The look, the sound, the smell of the early 911’s had me hooked from first sight.  I remember in the early 70’s showing my mother one of my model 911’s and telling her that I would own this car one day.  One day came to fruition in September of 2000 when I found our 1972 Rose Red 911T.  My 1st call was to my mother to tell her that I finally owned that car.  We’ve owned 4 additional Porsches since but our 1st will always remain in our stable and NFS.

Victoria and I joined the Porsche Club of America in October of 2001 after meeting a few club members at different car shows.  Not long after, I was asked to join the board.  With my passion for the cars and sharing my knowledge it was a good fit.  I enjoy meeting other Porsche enthusiasts, discussing the cars and getting my hands dirty working on them.  I personally feel that Porsche’s speak to you, but to understand their language, you need to have a close relationship with the car by doing your own maintenance and detail work.  I also enjoy helping others learn the language.  If you have questions about the early 911’s, 914’s, or the newer water cooled offering from Stuttgart don’t hesitate to reach out to me.  If you see Rose Red or my Ocean Blue Metallic 996 with a bicycle on the roof, don’t be shy, introduce yourself.
